I was first drawn to yoga for pain relief and mindfulness. I was challenged by the lack of accessibility, without being able to afford a membership to a studio and not really knowing how to practice on my own as a beginner. I continued to dabble in yoga, finding deals on classes when I could, following along with YouTube videos, and trying to find ways to utilize it in my work as an occupational therapist. I took the jump to do my 200-hour teacher training in January of 2020 in Koh Phangan, Thailand and followed it with a 30-hour training in trauma-informed yoga. I am passionate about creating a safe and accessible class for all and honoring what is right for each individual, while including all components of yoga: breath, meditation, and posture. I look forward to supporting whatever draws you to yoga!
